Tarot
cards have a long history, going back to at least the 14th
century, and probably far earlier. They compromise of 78 cards,
including 4 suits, and 22 special cards, called the 'Major
Arcana' depicting archetypal human energies.
Modern interest was stimulated by the work of psychologists
such as Carl Jung, who saw that the use of methods such as
Tarot, I Ching and Astrology helped contact our intuitive
awareness and wisdom.
I have used Tarot
cards for nearly 20 years, initially for
myself, finding insight and understanding, gradually I began
to share this with others. I find the Tarot to
be immediate and helpful in everyday life, especially in
addressing specific
issues, to do with relationships, soulmates, work, health
and so on. It can also work well with Palmistry,
where deeper patterns can be seen. Rather than predict the
future, Tarot helps
in seeing the options we have and using our own resources.
